Cave Tubing on the Sibun River
The Cave Tubing adventure on the Sibun River takes you through an incredible series of caves in the Maya Mountains. These caves played an important role in the lives of the ancient Maya, and your guide will share their historical significance.
The trip includes a guided tour of the Belize Zoo and Education Center, followed by a float down the river to explore five spectacular caves. An hour-long hike under the lush rainforest canopy brings you to the cave entrances, offering a first-hand look at the Cayo District’s natural beauty and plenty of chances to spot tropical birds and wildlife. As you float through the underground river caves, you’ll glide past mica-studded stalactites and stalagmites, ancient pottery shards, statues of fertility gods, and even Mayan footprints.
