Our Location
Caribbean Villas Hotel is perfectly located approximately a half mile from the center of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.
Easily accessible by paved road or by boat. the hotel is nestled on the white sand beach shores facing east and looks out to the horizon and the Belize barrier reef. We are within walking distance to town or a short 7-minute drive or taxi ride will get you there as well.
If you want a comfortable, shorts-and-sandals seaside vacation, at a moderate price, just a bit off the beaten path but not too far, where the seafood is fresh and beer is cold, where the water won’t make you sick, an island with most of the modern conveniences without the plastic tackiness, with great diving, excellent snorkeling, beautiful water and beautiful white sand beaches, where local folks are mostly friendly and speak English (though they may speak Spanish at home), with dependably beautiful weather most of the time, then we guarantee you’ll enjoy Ambergris Caye.
Getting to Caribbean Villas Hotel from Belize International Airport (BZE)
Welcome to Belize! Getting to San Pedro and Caribbean Villas Hotel is easy and part of the adventure. Here are the two options:
Fly to San Pedro (Most Popular & Easiest)
This is the quickest and most convenient choice. We can help you book your flights and you can pre pay or pay at the counter when you check in for the flight. Here's how it works:
- After clearing customs at Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE), look for the counters for our local airlines Tropic Air or Maya Island Air.
- Check in for your flight or book the next available flight to San Pedro (SPR). Flights depart every hour throughout the day and take about 15 - 20 minutes.
- Enjoy the beautiful aerial views of the Caribbean Sea!
Upon arrival in San Pedro:
- The San Pedro airstrip is small and close to town, take a taxi or golf cart (we can help you rent and arrange these to help bring your luggage) from the airport to Caribbean Villas Hotel.
- The ride takes about 7–10 minutes. Simply tell the driver you’re going to Caribbean Villas Hotel—it’s a well-known property.
Water Taxi (More Scenic, Budget-Friendly) If you prefer traveling by sea:
- From the airport, take a taxi to the Belize City Water Taxi Terminal (about 40 minutes). We recommend using the taxi's available at the airport which are part of the taxi association which are certified and monitored by the airport security.
- There are 2 water taxi companies, Caribbean Sprinter and The San Pedro Belize Express. The San Pedro Belize Express' terminal in San Pedro is about 5-7 minute walk on the beach away from the resort.
- Purchase a ticket to San Pedro. The water taxi ride takes approximately 1.5 hours. Very Scenic view with a quick (pick-up and drop off only) stop at Caye Caulker.
- Once you arrive in San Pedro, you can take a short walk, take a short taxi or golf cart (rented as explained above) to Caribbean Villas Hotel.
Helpful Tips
- We recommend flying if you’re arriving later in the day or traveling with alot of luggage.
- Keep small bills handy for taxis. US Dollars or Belize Dollars are accepted.
- Taxis are readily available at all arrival points.
